The quarterly billing lock-in

Interakt charges ₹3,499 per quarter, or ₹11,999 annually (20% savings vs monthly equivalent). On paper, that’s ₹999/month — comparable to WhatSender at ₹300/month. But there’s friction: no month-to-month option, and billing is non-refundable. If you cancel mid-quarter, you lose the rest of the prepaid balance.

WhatSender charges ₹300/month monthly. You can pause in lean months or upgrade when campaigns scale. There’s no prepayment penalty.

The per-message markup is the second cost. Interakt doesn’t publish rates; you must contact sales for the rate card. Estimates suggest 25% markup on Meta’s base rates. For 10,000 marketing messages at ₹1.09 base (per Meta’s January 2026 rates), expect ₹1.09 × 1.25 = ₹1.36/message through Interakt, or ₹13,636 in message fees alone on top of the quarterly subscription.

Where Interakt is the better choice

If you have a team answering customer messages, Interakt’s automation shines. WhatsApp Flows for complex journeys, agent routing, role-based permissions, and performance tracking are built for a support desk. WhatSender assumes one operator.

If you run Instagram alongside WhatsApp, Interakt’s unified multi-channel inbox is table stakes. Shopify integration is also more mature on Interakt than on WhatSender’s REST API approach.

If you’re an established e-commerce operation with 1,000+ conversations per month, the per-message markup may be acceptable given the time savings from automation.

The speed advantage

Interakt includes hand-held onboarding: Facebook page approval, number registration, and ban-prevention strategy from their team. If you want guidance, you get it. WhatSender is self-service but instant.

Interakt’s 5–7 day approval window is standard for the Business API. WhatSender’s QR-scan connection takes minutes. If you need to send this week, WhatSender wins.

The trade-off we are not going to hide

WhatSender drives a regular WhatsApp number through an automation layer rather than Meta’s official API. That is why there is no approval queue and no per-message fee — and also why there is no green tick, and why a number that blasts cold contacts can be restricted by WhatsApp. Warm-up limits and daily caps exist to manage that risk, not to remove it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Interakt cheaper than WhatSender?

At face value, Interakt’s ₹999/month (~₹3,499/quarter) is comparable to ₹300/month. But the per-message markup (~25% on Meta rates) adds up fast. At 5,000/month, that’s ₹6,800 in message fees alone. WhatSender covers the same volume for ₹300/month flat.

Can I cancel Interakt mid-quarter?

Yes, but you forfeit the remaining balance. Interakt billing is non-refundable, and downgrades take effect only at the end of your current cycle. WhatSender allows cancellation or downgrade effective immediately.

What’s Interakt’s per-message rate?

Interakt doesn’t publish rates on its pricing page. The estimated markup is ~25% on Meta’s base rates (which vary by country and message type). You must contact sales for the exact rate card before committing.

Does Interakt require Meta approval?

Yes. Interakt requires WhatsApp Business API verification (5–7 days). They handle the onboarding, including Facebook page approval and number registration. WhatSender connects by QR code in minutes to your existing number.
